Heroes

Heroes are characters usually played by the kids. They are children's avatars in the worlds of Mighty Quest. Mighty Knight, skilful Ranger, noble Paladin, and many more.

Heroes have five characteristics.

💪 Strength   ✋ Agility   🧠 Smarts   🛡️ Armour   ❤️ Health

Each hero will have one of the first three abilities marked as a primary ability. This primary ability is important for fighting monsters during combat, and is explained in that chapter. Strength, agility, and smarts are also used to perform hero feats, like moving large boulders, hopping over rocks in a river, or solving mental puzzles.

Initially the word "intelligence" was used over "smarts", but kids grasp "smarts" better.

Each hero also has one special ability, described on the hero card itself.

Clarifications

Every time Knight hits a target, he then rolls a feat of strength check needing 8 total. It does sound like a lot, and without any strength gain items it only works on a roll of 6 (because 6 on the dice, plus 2💪 is 8), but it does stun the target completely making it inefficient for one turn. Should the Knight obtain at least a Ring of Strength the feat is then successful on a roll of 5 or more, making it a very powerful tool during combat.

Ranger shoots her arrows and can hit any target on the monsters' side, not just the front row. Use this wisely to take out background supporting monsters.

Paladin's aura works on Heroes and Companions.
